About the Property


Inside: the main living areas are arranged on one L-shaped floor. The front door opens into the main living room and then onto the kitchen. To the left is the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a double and a twin sharing a bathroom. All these rooms have ceiling to floor doors leading onto a large shaded terrace with superb views over the sea, and the pool. The kitchen leads to another shady terrace with a beautifully situated dining table. There is also a guest bathroom near the living room. On a lower floor, with access from the garden, is the fourth bedroom, a twin with en-suite bathroom. The furnishing throughout is a mixture of early 20th century Sicilian furniture set off against typical Aeolian whitewashed walls and hand painted majolica tiles.

Outside: apart from the two terraces mentioned above, there is also a dramatic roof terrace which has one of the most stunning views in Panarea. The garden itself is large and very private. It features an olive grove and several panoramic spots for reading, dreaming or aperitifs. The enticing pool is situated in front of the villa overlooking the sea and Stromboli, and makes this the most desirable villa for rent in Panarea...

The staff live in a separate self-contained unit on the grounds and are always on hand when required. Due to some rather precipitous drops, we do not recommend this property for groups with small children.


The Area

Exploring the local Area

Panarea is the second smallest and the most fashionable of Aeolian Islands. It is an ideal point from which to discover the entire archipelago, be it by boat, hydrofoil or helicopter.

In the summer months Panarea offers a wide selection of good restaurants, bars with stunning terraces, discos and chic boutiques. Diving, walking and fishing are amongst the most popular pursuits.

Villa Aphrodite is a 10-minute walk from a sandy beach and from the town (and the port). Electric taxis are available for all journeys around the island.

Regular Hydrofoil and ferry services link Panarea to Palermo, Milazzo and Naples. However, most exciting way and quick of reaching the island is by helicopter!

Arrive by hydrofoil from Milazzo (2hrs) or Palermo (5hrs ), private boat, helicopter or ferry.
Nearest shops, restaurants and sea access: 5 mins walk.

"Aphrodite was superb. The grounds were picture perfect and our rooms were spacious and cool; traditional without being over the top. There are several terraces so escaping from the Rattus baggus' was easy. Yoga, aperitifs and yacht watching were all enjoyed on the roof terrace.
Rosanna was a mine of information and recommendations; she booked most things for us and directed us to the best places.
