About the Property

Inside: Buzza Alta is characterised by its bright, airy living spaces and sea views. From the living room one accesses the well-equipped kitchen with large larder and three double bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. The master bedroom, the living room and the kitchen all have larged glazed doors opening onto the terrace and sea views. The other two bedrooms (which can be twins or doubles) both have direct access onto the side terraces. The style of the house is simple with clean lines, bright colours and plenty of light throughout.

Outside: the house is set on a virtually uninhabited stretch of beach. It has a private gated garden with a gazebo for outdoor dining, and a fresh water shower. The flourishing garden features a wonderful pool, lawns, low-lying Mediterranean plants and a few palm trees. There are a few trees offering shade on the beach directly in front of the house, and the beach itself will be as good as private most of the time.

Buzza Alta is on the northern flank of one of the most unspoilt parts of the Sicilian countryside, the Nebrodi Mountains. In this area you will find charming, uncommercialised villages with wonderful views and authentic shops and trattorie, and some fabulous walking country. The nearest towns to the house are Caronia and it's seaside sister Marina di Caronia. Both offer a selection of authentic shops and restaurants. Further afield, Cefalu' is a short drive along the motorway one way, and Capo d'Orlando the other, both of which have long sandy beaches.

The villa, Buzza Alta, was perfect for our family. The views were phenomenal, the pool was terrific, the beach was amazing. The outdoor kitchen and dining area were almost as well appointed as the indoor kitchen. I have no idea who the owners might be, but they should be congratulated for creating a home that is overwhelmingly welcoming before you even get in the door...
