A great summer villa for large groups of family or friends.

Set in a large, luxuriant garden in the farmland surrounding the fascinating baroque city of Modica, Casa di Pietra is a modern house built in the warm stone of the area. Its practical layout makes summer living easy while the magnificent heated pool is a magnet for children and adults alike. All in all an ideal family house within easy striking distance of fascinating towns and white sandy beaches.

“Fab on all counts and perfect in terms of getting around, sightseeing and beaches... Casa di Pietra is lovely and we really loved its farm location and proximity to everything. Perfect.” Liz Dossett, United Kingdom, April 2012

About the Property

Inside: The property consists of a main house and five smaller buildings, all of which are built using large blocks of the beautiful light grey stone typical of this area. Enter the main house via a bright and airy, split level living cum dining area which leads straight on to a well laid out kitchen. Up five steps, the sitting room, with stylish sofas and furnishings takes you to the master bedroom with adjoining bathroom and large picture doors leading to the garden. On the lower floor of the main house is a double bedroom, a twin suitable for children and two bathrooms.

The four guesthouses are just a few steps across the garden. There are four doubles, all with en-suite bathrooms. One of the doubles near the pool also has a living room that can be converted into a double room if the sofa bed is used (this means the bathroom, accessed from the living area, is shared and suitable for families). There is also a spacious covered patio by the pool with small kitchen, a living area and a table tennis table. From here you can also access two of the guesthouses. All are decorated in a similar style to the main house: colourful, stylish and practical... all in all, great for a holiday!

Outside: the garden contains a beautiful mixture of lush lawns and Mediterranean plants, and is enclosed by a characteristic wall of white Modica stone. Between the main house and the guesthouses is a fully-equipped outdoor kitchen, dining area and a barbecue. Further towards the pool is a shady pagoda for lounging and snoozing and several other shaded areas are dotted around the grounds. At the end of the garden is the beautiful heated pool, featuring a hydromassage corner for those in need of a little TLC!
