Inside: Egesta comprises two houses separated by luxurient gardens full of palm trees, roses and olive groves. The main house has an open plan living room with kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom. A flight of stairs leads to a mezzanine floor with a sofa bed and a desk. The living room/kitchen leads directly onto a covered terrace with a barbecue, a large dining table and gas heaters for the spring and autumn evenings. The summer house, about 80m away from the main house, has a large double bedroom with a kitchen corner, a bathroom, and a private terrace with wonderfully calming views. Both houses are air-conditioned. They are never let separately.
Outside: the pool sits behind the main house and is extremely well designed. It has a Jacuzzi corner and a swimming pump. Around the pool there is plenty of sundeck space and some good shade too. The grounds boast a variety of fruit trees, including cherries, apricots, plums, figs, pears, lemons and grapefuit, ensuring fresh fruit all year round. The owner's organic olive oil, a bottle of which you will receive on arrival, is excellent! The views from all about the house are of rolling countryside and the historic hilltop town of Calatafimi about 3km away.
