Comfortably furnished and spacious inside, the focus of the outside areas is the panoramic pool, perfect for cooling off after a hike! Down below on the coast is Cefalù and a series of sandy beaches.

About the Property

Inside: the house is arranged on two floors with the living quarters downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. A large high-ceilinged entrance hall with staircase is in the middle of the house. To the left is a guest bathroom, a large dining room and a well designed, fully equipped kitchen with a second dining table. To the right are two open-plan living areas offering an ample supply of sofas and armchairs and a huge fireplace. The first floor is home to the four bedrooms (three doubles and one twin) and two bathrooms, one with tub and one with shower. All are furnished to exceptionally high levels and have stunning views.

Outside: the gardens are extensive, and have 360 degree views of the sea and the mountains. There is a large shaded area with a barbecue, a dining table with great views of the coast and plenty of comfortable outdoor seating. The lovely panoramic pool is situated in front of the house to make the most of the views of Cefalù and the sea down below. A range of fruit trees means that there is always fresh fruit to be picked, whatever the season. Several hiking paths lead directly from the property into the surrounding countryside, making Il Ciliegio perfect for those who enjoy walking.

Think About

30 minutes' of winding road up the hill from Cefalù. Fabulous hiking opportunities in the Madonie mountains. Golf course nearby. Very effective central heating system for the winter months.

The extensive grounds of Il Ciliegio are surrounded by several hectares of countryside/farmland, some of which is unfenced. We therefore recommend that younger children are supervised by an adult when exploring the grounds.

Exploring the local Area

Nestled on the flanks of the Madonie Mountains Il Ciliegio is a perfect way to mix mountains and sea. It’s an ideal base for exploring, on foot or by car, the mountainous nature reserve and the many towns and villages that it contains.

Just twenty minutes drive down the hill is Cefalu', with its spectacularly sited Norman cathedral, medieval town centre and beach.

The motorway gives you easy access to Palermo, Monreale and the Roman remains at
Solunto. Slightly further afield, the Ancient Greek remains at Segesta, Selinunte and The Valley of the Temples in Agrigento are well worth the journey.
