This, along with the wonderful pool, ensures its position as one of our most desirable properties. It is close to Cefalu', and just a short drive from a sandy beach and an 18 hole golf course. Clean lines, stylish and quality furnishings and fittings, practical living, open spaces, views, and proximity to the charming Madonie town of Collesano make this an ideal property for a family (or 2) or a group of friends.
The Property
Inside: Il Piliere is a recently refurbished country house. The style of the interiors is clean, bright and fresh, with large windows and a general feeling of space. On the ground floor is a large living room with white sofas, a dining area and a stylish fireplace. The kitchen is well designed and has excellent, new appliances. Also downstairs are two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Upstairs are another two double bedrooms and a bathroom.
Outside: Il Piliere is accessed via a quiet, dirt road. The house is set on two hectares of beautiful open countryside with fabulous views of the northern Sicilian coast as far as Capo Zafferano. The lovely pool is next to the house and boasts the same panorama. In front of the house is a panoramic terrace leading down to an open field. To the left is a covered pergola with a large dining table and a barbeque. Behind this pergola is a small hill on which there is evidence of medieval settlement in the form of an old wall and some terracotta fragments, and behind the house the views up to the top of the Madonie mountains are stunning.
The Area
Il Piliere is situated on the western flanks of the Madonie Mountains and National Park. It is only 15 min away from the lovely beaches of Lascari and at the same time ideally placed for excursions into some absolutely beautiful countryside, hill walking and interesting visits to the Mediaeval hilltop towns that populate the area. Collesano, the nearest town is just 2.5km away. Here you will find several shops, bars and a couple of restaurants. The Madonie Golf Course is only 4 km away. For motor-racing enthusiasts there is also the Targa Florio Rally Museum. The beach of Cefalu' is about 20 minutes away, while Palermo is an hour’s drive down the motorway.

Horse riding 10 min drive. The excellent airflow in the house, and the position in open countryside some 350m above sea level makes air conditioning superflous.
