Inside: accommodation in Itaca is spread over two floors. Turning right from the main ground floor entrance, one accesses two large, comfortably and elegantly furnished reception rooms. Both have views out over the surrounding gardens and the second has large glass doors that lead out onto a covered terrace, which, in the summer months, is the perfect living area overlooking the pool.
To the left of the main entrance, is a smaller living area with TV and furnished with two sofa beds, ideal for the children of parents staying in the connecting double room. This double room has its own en-suite bathroom and direct access to the surrounding gardens. Also off the sitting room with the two sofa beds is a single bedroom, suitable for a child (with access to the double's en-suite bathroom if required), a guest bathroom with WC and sink and a corridor that takes one through an informal dining room (perfect for breakfast or early children's suppers) to the well-equipped kitchen. This in turn leads, on one side, to the staff's sleeping quarters and, on the other, to the formal dining room, which communicates with the main ground floor reception rooms.
Stairs lead from the entrance hall to the first floor, which is home to the remaining bedrooms. To one side is a double with walk-in wardrobe/dressing room, an en-suite bathroom and private terrace overlooking the garden. To the other, via a dressing room, is the third en-suite double room with private terrace overlooking the pool. The dressing room also leads to a twin room that is ideal for children (the bathroom they would use is accessed via the double).
Outside: Itaca is surrounded on all sides by spacious lawned gardens and a vast array of mature Mediterranean plants and trees. To the rear of the house is the splendid pool area, complete with changing room, a shady gazebo and easy access to the outdoor sitting area that communicates directly with the indoor areas. *the discreet housekeeper lives in a room just off the kitchen. He will be available for about 8 hours per day, 6 days per week to prepare breakfast, clean and oversee the technical functioning of the property.

Because of its space and the layout of its sleeping quarters, Itaca is ideal for many different types of group: one large family, two or three small families travelling togther, three couples, or just a group of friends. For groups of 11, the two sofa beds (for children) in the smallest of the three downstairs reception rooms will be made up.
