Overview
Immersed in a fabulous garden bursting with colour and with a large and splendidly situated pool, La Casina del Biviere is an excellent option for anyone looking for peace, tranquility and something a little exclusive. Its location makes it an excellent base for exploring the east and south east of Sicily, but you might just find yourself relaxing by the pool and strolling around the garden, which has been beautifully designed and maintained by the passion of the owner, and features in several horticultural publications.

The Property
Inside: La Casina del Biviere is the restored stable building to the side of the main house (La Casa del Biviere). It is on one floor (the first floor), accessed by an external staircase. The house is spacious and comfortably fitted, and features a large living space, split into sitting and kitchen/dining areas (no oven), one double and two twin bedrooms and one bathroom. The furnishings are simple but well chosen and the overall impression is of a high quality, functional house.
Outside: La Casina del Biviere does not have outside living areas on the first floor, but guests have complete freedom of the gardens and may take meals outside in the garden or by the pool. As mentioned before, the gardens are particularly beautiful, and the setting of the large swimming pool is really special.
The Area
La Casina del Biviere is near Lentini, just south of Catania on the road to Siracusa. It is in convenient day trip distance of Catania, Siracusa, Taormina, Mount Etna and the towns of the Noto valley.
It is also within easy driving distance of the beaches both south of Catania at Brucoli and also further afield to the south of Siracusa at Fontane Bianche and in the Vendicari nature reserve.

The extremely charming owner lives in the main house and sometimes opens her gardens to small groups of horticulturalists. The US air base of Sigonella is nearby, and planes sometimes fly low over the house.
