Inside: the main gate leads from the street into a flower-filled courtyard. Up some steps and through the front door and you’re in the airy, spacious dining area which leads either to the large, fully-equipped kitchen or directly onto the charming, seductive garden terrace. The kitchen also has direct access onto the garden. Back in the dining room, a flight of stairs lead to the first floor which is focused around the large comfortably furnished living area, complete with leather sofas and open fireplace. Off the living area is the master bedroom, with its en-suite bathroom (with bath) and two other bedrooms, a twin/double and a double, sharing a bathroom (with shower). Antique terracotta flooring runs throughout the living areas and many original features of the house have been retained, creating a comfortable and characterful environment. The views from the front of the house take in the picture-postcard town of Cefalu and the Tyrrhenian Sea, while those from the sides look over the garden terrace and “La Rocca”, the monolithic rock that dominates the town.
Outside: much of your time will probably be spent in the spacious garden terrace which, thanks to its generous size, its colourful flora and its shady dining area, is a delightful place to relax. A barbecue and a wood-burning pizza oven mean that the warm summer evening air will be suffused with delicious, mouth-watering fragrances and an atmosphere of pure hedonistic conviviality!

Think About
La Corte is ideal for those who do not wish to hire a car as everything you could possibly need is within easy walking distance. There is no parking near the house - guests usually park down by the sea-front where, in the summer, it is necessary to pay. There are a lot of steps to get to the house so we do not recommend it for anyone with mobility problems. Short stays of minimum 4 nights are possible.
