The Property
Inside: both houses are on one floor, and contain a total of 6 bedrooms. The larger house has three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), all with ensuite bathrooms, and a fourth bathroom for the living areas. It also has a kitchen and a large living and dining room with a series of French windows leading to the terraces and the pool. The smaller house has three bedrooms (a double, a twin and a bunk), and two bathrooms (one of which is ensuite with the double bedroom). The kitchen and a living room lead directly to a terrace with spectacular panoramic views.
Outside: the houses are arranged around a large courtyard which leads to the pool and a large, shaded outside dining area with outdoor kitchen and barbeque, enjoying spectacular views of the pool, the olive groves and the sea. The pool is served by an outdoor shower area. The land stretches up from the sea to a lake a few hundred metres behind the house, and offers the opportunity to stroll among the olive groves. The views from all over the estate are stunning, combining sea, pool, olive trees and the mountains behind.
The Area
Le Sorbe is on the northern flank of one of the most unspoilt parts of the Sicilian countryside, the Nebrodi Mountains. In this area you will find charming, uncommercialised villages with wonderful views and authentic shops and trattorie, and some fabulous walking country. The nearest towns to the house are Caronia and its seaside sister Marina di Caronia. Both offer a selection of authentic shops and restaurants. Further afield, Cefalu' is a short drive along the motorway one way, and Capo d'Orlando the other, both of which have long sandy beaches.
