The Property
Accommodation: there are four “casine”, two of which have kitchen facilities:
“la Casina dei Fiori” sleeps 5: opening onto the flowered courtyard, it consists of a large living room with fireplace, dining table, sitting area, a small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with double bed and a smaller bedroom with three beds (one on a mezzanine).
“la Casina della Caccia” sleeps 2: opens onto courtyard next to la Casina dei Fiori, it has large single area with a double bed separated from the sitting area by a bar and kitchenette. There is a bathroom with shower.
“la Casina delle Papere” sleeps 2+2: on the first floor under a sloping roof with exposed beams. Double bedroom, living area with 2 sofa beds and a bathroom.
“la Casina delle Piume” sleeps 2: opposite the Casina delle Papere on the 1st floor under the eaves. Double bedroom with dressing table and bathroom.
Public Areas: guests are invited to use the whole property including the courtyard with tables for aperitifs and dinners, huge sitting area with open fireplace and concert quality HiFi system, large screen TV/DVD, and the swimming pool with deck chairs and fabulous bar area. The house is surrounded by woods, olive groves and vineyards and there are excellent walking opportunities in the hilly countryside.
The Area
The house is surrounded by woods, olive groves and vineyards and there are excellent walking opportunities in the hilly countryside (by the way, there are almost no fences here and the farmers encourage you to go where you like).
The “strada dei vini” from Camporeale takes you on a walking path through some of the most important “cantine” (wine producers) of the region.
The central location makes for easy day trips to many important sites. The Greek temple of Segesta (1/2 hour); the Greek site of Selinunte with its superb beach (3/4 hour); The Valley of the Temples in Agrigento (1 1/4 hr); Erice and many others.
