About the Property


Inside: the house has three floors and a roof terrace. On the ground floor is a kitchen, dining area, small terrace and steps down to the rocks, from where a promenade leads to several good restaurants. The first floor has a living room and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (shower). The second floor leads onto a seaview double bedroom suite with an adjoining twin/double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (shower) off the twin/double. Stairs from the second floor lead up to the roof terrace. All floors have spectacular sea views. As well as being fabulously suited for exploring the local restaurants, the house also has a typically well equipped kitchen.

Outside: you will be on the sea-front in one of Sicily’s most charming coastal towns, so opportunities abound for culture, fun and relaxation. A few steps lead down from the ground floor of the house onto the rocky sea-front of Cefalu’, where bathing is possible when the sea is calm. Otherwise, there is a sandy beach is just a couple of minutes’ walk away. Cefalu’ itself is really a gem of a place. The Norman cathedral and the Castle are incredibly impressive and the maze of Mediaeval streets hold many delightful surprises for the more curious. The selection of restaurants, bars and shops is such that you will not get bored. Palermo is easily accessible by train.

Think About

Parking is not possible near the house, though you can park a few minutes walk away. However, the town has a lot to offer, Palermo (and several other towns) is easily accessible by train, and there is a variety of excursions available from local operators in Cefalu’ so you may not need a car at all.

Exploring the local Area

The house is in the old centre of Cefalu' with its Norman Cathedral commissioned by Roger II, shops, restaurants and long sandy beach. Its central position on the Tyrrhenian coast makes for easy day trips to Palermo (58km), Santo Stefano (35km), Solunto (55km). Cefalù is nestled beneath the Madonie Mountains, with peaks up to nearly 2,000m and a wealth of small villages with a history almost as long as that of Sicily.

Cefalù is on the main train line linking Palermo with Messina, and from mid June to mid September is connected with the Aeolian Islands by a daily hydrofoil service.
