Overview
A sea -front villa with a heated pool, sitting in a small bay along the gulf of Solanto coastline, Villa Favola is a magical spot to relax and soak up the Sicilian sun. Large, inviting terraces on each floor combine with stunning views extending across blue waters, up to the hill-top towards the archaeological site of Solunto and round to the port of Porticello with its excellent restaurants. Decorative tiles and pale stone floors add a Mediterranean colour to a very comfortably furnished villa with great indoor and outdoor dining space. Fruit and lemon trees line the steps down past the heated pool to the sea where a private platform sits above crystal waters.

The Property
Inside:
Ground floor: Spacious reception, living and dining areas open onto the front sea-facing terrace, which extends round the whole property. One large twin bedroom and bathroom. House-keeper’s living area is next to the kitchen in an independent unit. Well-equipped and beautifully tiled kitchen with access onto the back terrace.
First floor: Large and bright double bedroom and adjoining marble bathroom. The bedroom offers wonderful sea views and doors lead to a large terrace. A dressing-room facing the bathroom can also be used as a single bedroom.
Second floor: Large twin bedroom with sea-blue terrace (also accessed from the landing) and a charming double bedroom, again with its own terrace, sharing a bathroom. All bathrooms have a bath-tub and all bedrooms have air conditioning and ceiling ventilators.
Outside:
The superb terrace space offers great al fresco dining options, sunlit breakfast spots and peaceful reading corners. From the front of the house, steps lead down through the garden, via the splendid heated pool, directly to the sea gate and furnished terrace, with steps down to the sea. There is also an enclosed shower and changing room facility.
The Area
Restaurants closeby at the working fishing port of Porticello. The gulf of Solanto sits on the North coast of Sicily just to the East of Palermo. The ancient town of Solunto was settled by the Phoenecians in the eight century BC and was subsequently conquered by Greeks and Romans.
Due to its crystal sea, the bay is now a fashionable seaside retreat for the people of Palermo. For the visitor, Solunto is in a central location for short hops to Palermo, Cefalu', Monreale, Segesta, Erice, the Madonie Mountains and a host of other places.

Think About
Added comfort of a live-in, English speaking housekeeper to prepare breakfast, provide daily cleaning and look after all technical/functional aspects of the villa (included in the price from Easter to the end of October; available on request outside this period).
The sea front area accessed by the gate is not private although the furnished platform terrace is, and your presence will discourage the public from approaching.
