| Life's a beach.... |
|
We are not trying to rub it in (if the weather where you are is getting you down), but the weather in Sicily has been absolutely fantastic for the last three weeks – endless sunshine, blue skies and temperatures in the mid-20s. Ideal beach weather you may be thinking and you’d be right, but where are the ideal beaches?
The Sicilian coastline stretches for over 1000km and has an enormous variety of beaches: from long stretches of “normal” sand to pure white-sanded tropical paradises, from rocky sunbathing areas giving way to crystalline waters, to black volcanic sandy coves.

The April edition of Condé Nast Traveller had a special feature on the “30 Best Mediterranean Villas”. Here at Think Sicily we were very happy to have no fewer than 4 of our villas featured – a real coup for us and a confirmation of the quality we are proud to offer. So, if you want to stay in one of the best villas in the Mediterranean, read on:

This month's recipe is spaghetti with clam sauce. While not being Sicilian per se, spaghetti alle vongole is very much a Sicilian speciality in the sense that is is hard to find a restaurant on the island that doesn't offer it. Generally speaking, Sicilians cook a light version of this pasta, omitting the cherry tomatoes that are so popular around Naples and the south of Italy in general.

At the beginning of April the whole Think Sicily team (all 8 of us!) came together in Sicily for a weekend of “team-building” and relaxing after an extremely busy 3 months. We were fortunate enough to find accommodation at L’Olmo, which provided the perfect backdrop to 48 hours of intense activity.
After supper and drinks on Friday evening, we were up early on Saturday to meet our very own vulcanologist guide...... Read more >> | | |
| Laura and Laura |

Laura and Laura.... Well, actually it's Laura (pronounced in the English way) and Laura (pronounced in the Spanish way). Confused? Well so were we for a while when Laura and Laura joined our London office staff. Laura (English), who is working as a Client Manager, has just spent two weeks in Sicily, visiting over 30 Think Sicily properties and ticking up over 3,000km! Spanish Laura, a graduate in Tourism, is our new administrative assistant and has also recently visited Sicily. Needless to say, we warmly welcome both of them on board.

If cleaning, tidying and loading the dishwasher are low on your list of holiday highlights, and you prefer to participate in the preparation of your food only if and when you choose to, then you probably need to come to one of our fully serviced villas.
The star of the show is undoubtedly L'Olmo (pictured left), but close runners up such as Villa Farli', Hera, Conca d'oro, Masseria Pernice and Villa Pietraperciata all offer a special mix of service, character and authentic Sicilian hospicality. They all have some availability for this summer, so please get in touch with us to tell us about your party and their special requirements.
