Greetings from Sicily and welcome to our new newsletter, the aims of which are to give you insights into Sicily past and present, and to whet your appetite for your visit with some tempting holiday ideas (and perhaps some mouthwatering recipes and wine reviews).

October is an ideal month for visiting Sicily. The beaches are deserted, the sea heated up by the scorching August sun, and the weather is just a tad cooler. The photo on the left was taken last October in Favignana, just before a dip in the sea.

So, if you haven't had a holiday yet, or the one you had has become a distant memory, Think Sicily could be just what "il dottore" ordered.

L'Olmo....in the lap of luxury between Etna and the sea

"Probably the best villa available for rent in Sicily" may sound like an advert for a famous beer, but when talking about L'Olmo, we could even go so far as to omit the "probably".
L'Olmo, situated on the east coast of Sicily, between Taormina and Catania, is, quite simply, enchanting.
